DURKOPP ADLER 550-12-34 is a chainstitch sewing machine with a trimmer

This single-needle machine features a two-thread chainstitch, with a differential bottom feed and alternatively, a variable top foot feed. It is designed for pleating upholstery fabrics with the capability of inserting tape. The machine is equipped with an electropneumatic foot lift and electronic programming for smooth or pleated stitches. Using the programmer, the pleat size can be pre-programmed, and each program can consist of 99 steps, including 15 pleat sizes and 16 half sizes of those pleats. The electronic programming of 31 pleat degrees ensures perfect stitch repeatability.
